The Inauguration of Joe Biden was an event that drew eyes from across the globe. The transition of power between the Trump and Biden administration came highly anticipated and garnered a serious amount of security. The assault on the Capitol less than a month before drove tensions high, and National Guard presence through the roof, as nobody could allow a repeat of that violent attack.

The ceremony of the Inauguration came and went with little incident. News anchors and camera men set up from the night before, journalists paced the perimeter and religious groups shouted their rhetoric. Hardly anyone could get near or really see the Capitol through the perimeter of barbed wire and soldiers. All of the streets were shut down so the only transport was your own two feet, a bike or as one chose, roller skates.
